Take a few moments to recall when you first ventured out in the online business world? You must have had questions and problems along the way. Wouldn't it have been easier if you had a mentor or a successful online friend to ask for help? Allow yourself to become that mentor or friend when a newbie reaches out to you and asks for your advice, educate them; answer their questions and help them solve their online business problems. Even if you are only in the learning stages yourself and you have not yet gained the knowledge to help them out, perhaps you could still point them in the right direction, of where they may find the answers that they seek. You'll get many benefits from helping online business newbies. Below are eight possible benefits you could receive:

Helping out others find their way is always very rewarding and serves as an ego boost for you. Others that know that you give of your knowledge and help so freely will say "You had a part in their success."

You may even become business partners and create a totally new business together. They may become one of your best friends. Most people can use new friends, even business owners.

You could regularly do joint venture and cross promotion deals with each other. You could end up being strategic business allies in the future.

 

You never know where strategic alliances or joint ventures can bloom from. The word that you are kind to newbies will get around just as fast as the word that you shun newbies would get around, so for your reputations sake extend that helping hand.

 

Most importantly, you want to maintain a good reputation - both for you and your business. Don't sell yourself short by any means. There are plenty of people out there who will want to tap your brain for free and you will never reap any benefit from it. However, being a mentor to clients and others who have a great vision can and will bring great returns to you in the future. Clients want ethical providers who will help them succeed. If you are one of those people, you will more often than not win their loyalty and high praise forever.
