Most people that contact me about web design have the same three main questions.

I wrote this article to address these questions and put your mind to ease. I believe in transparency. I don’t use geek-speak. My goal is simple, to make the whole process of getting a new website as easy as possible for you. When you work with me, you won’t get double-talk or intimidating technical talk. I have no interest in impressing you with how complicated a website is, I’d rather help you see how easy it can be to get a terrific, effective website and maintain it yourself.

But isn’t it expensive?

Web design prices are all over the place.  If you’ve been looking for a quote you already know this. It can be hard to get an idea about how much a new website costs. If a company posts their pricing online, you may not know what kind of “package” you need. Most companies don’t list their prices are and you can only get an idea of what you might need to pay by submitting a form.

Determining what your website will cost depends on many factors. The size of the site, the features you want, your budget, and more. Although I can’t tell you exactly what your site will cost before I get some information from you, I am happy to supply you with starting points. That isn’t a custom quote, but you can get an idea of my prices. After we connect I will be able to be specific and provide you with an accurate quote. Click here to read more about prices.

Is the process hard or time-consuming?

Most people want to know that to expect when they start a web design project. There are many factors that go into a successful project, but I have proven systems in place to make the process easy for you.  These systems make sure that your project is organized and we don’t miss anything. It’s a comprehensive strategy, crafted specifically to reduce the work and stress you might otherwise experience.

The process should not be hard for you. If it is, you’re simply with the wrong company. You don’t need to know technical terms. You don’t even need to know all the elements that makes a website appealing and successful. That’s what you are hiring someone to help you with. I get it! My process will ensure you get a highly effective website that meets your goals without stressing you out. You can read more about how the process works here.

You want to manage your website, but it has to be easy!

Most clients want to manage their own websites but are afraid it will be hard or time-consuming. All of my projects include training designed to make updating your website easy to learn and easy to do. If you have access to the internet you’re all set. You don’t need any technical knowledge or software. With just a web browser and about 30 minutes you will be well equipped to manage your website. Learn more about why my training is so easy.

But what if you prefer not to bother? No problem. I’m happy to make your edits for you. But after you see how easy it is, you may discover that you can do it yourself. In the time it takes to email me your changes you can make the yourself, for free! Either way is fine with me, but you shouldn’t have to pay for edits unless you just want to.
